Talking to God
10.03.06 (4:19 pm)   [edit]
Fairmoon is pondering: ...how come PastorDave and Surrogate can write about talking to God and Jesus, and we find it amusing? I know so some find it terribly offensive, but most of us go along with it as par for the course.

and, why do i feel that if i were to start the same thing I would be burned at the stake?

I don't think you would be burned at the stake. It may not be as well-received because it isn't the norm, but I doubt anyone would burn you at the stake. Anyone worth speaking to, at least.

It's very simple. You're far more combustible than I am.

But seriously...

As for PastorDave? I think he gets a pass as he has some official credentials and an obviously warm heart and what he writes rings very true for many of the folks who consider themselves Christians and many who don't because of the obvious warm heart thing again. The people who read my blog, after a while anyway, know what I'm trying to do and either go along with the, what? "gag?" -or go away, some probably muttering to themselves.

Damn it's nice to see you! Write about whatever you like. I'll protect you. Dun duh duh DAHHHHH! (that was my super-hero call) Oh, and I'll carry a bucket of water - just in case.

You can write about a conversation with God anytime you would like. Just make sure it is with Jesus....Only kidding. This is an open forum, I think. If others can write about all kinds of sexual matters and rather private bodily functions, which they do, then surely you can write about God.

And, lest you get too careless with your verbage, I do carry a box of matches.

Hmm... seems no one is talking to the Holy Ghost. Or Buddha, Mohammed, Isis, or Thor. Oooo! Thor! that could be fun.

*hug* you write whatever you feel, hon, it's your space!

Bold statement... and sure as hell true for me too, well except I like reading YOUR thoughts on God of course.

I just found your blog, and like it very much. We could all use some education. I have read up on wicca, and for over 20 years used the tarot for mediation, and insight, a great tool for inner growth.

Keep up the good work. No one has a monopoly on God.

Peace
Mitch

This is your very own place to speak of yourself and nobody else may bother you for that. So there's nothing wrong. I like to read your writings so keep it up.
